Outline
Our department specializes in the treatment of gum diseases. We provide oral hygiene education and tartar removal. When necessary, we performed local surgical treatment. Gum surgery includes regenerative therapy using REGROTH®, which has successful outcomes. Additionally, we are exploring advanced therapies, such as the combination therapy of REGROTH® and bone substitute and a regenerative therapy using adipose tissue-derived multilineage progenitor cells to address more severe gum disease.
We also focus on treating decayed teeth and the treatment of nerve and root disease (root canal therapy) resulting from the progression of caries. Our department aims to preserve as many teeth as possible and restore and maintain oral function.
Head's Message

The Department provides specialized treatment for two major dental diseases, gum disease and decayed teeth, which are the main causes of tooth loss in adults. Through examination and accurate diagnoses, we use our expertise to determine whether teeth can be preserved. In addition, we collaborate closely with the Prosthodontics Department and other related specialities to ensure that teeth are maintained in a healthy and functional state, so that we can support the long-term function of the entire mouth.
