Director's Message

Implant treatment has become increasingly common and is now performed not only at university hospitals but also at many other dental clinics. At our center, we specialize in providing implant care that leverages the strengths of a university hospital, particularly for patients with significant jawbone deficiencies or those with systemic diseases or complex medical histories. Dental problems rarely exist in isolation, and many issues that patients are not yet aware of often lie hidden in the oral cavity. For this reason, before considering implant treatment, we conduct a comprehensive examination of the entire mouth—not just the missing tooth area—perform any necessary preliminary procedures and develop a treatment plan that ensures harmony throughout the oral environment.
When extensive bone augmentation requiring hospitalization is necessary, we collaborate with oral surgery specialists . For patients with dental anxiety or systemic conditions, we work with the Dental Anesthesiology to provide general anesthesia or intravenous sedation. If preoperative orthodontic treatment is beneficial, we coordinate with the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and for issues with remaining teeth—such as periodontal disease or pulpitis—we work closely with the Restorative Dentistry and Endodontology and thePeriodontics and Endodontics . This multidisciplinary approach allows us to deliver fully integrated care.
For preoperative diagnosis, we rely on detailed CT imaging performed by the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and blood tests conducted by the Clinical laboratory . During surgery, our nursing staff provides attentive support, and the final prosthesis (superstructure) is crafted by our in-house dental technicians. Every step of the process is completed by specialists working together under one roof.
Even after implant treatment is completed, ongoing maintenance is essential. Our center provides continuous follow-up using a standardized protocol. All records, including those from surgery, are stored in our electronic medical system, ensuring that information is never lost—even if the treating dentist retires or transfers—allowing for uninterrupted long-term oral care.
