Outline
At the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, we provide treatments to address functional and aesthetic issues caused by misaligned teeth or jaw structure. For children, we provide treatments tailored to their developmental stage, guiding jaw growth and ensuring the proper eruption of permanent teeth. For adults, we focus on straightening teeth and achieving a correct bite.
Our dental hospital is proud to have been one of the first in Japan to address treatment for cleft lip and palate patients, with nearly 50 years of history in this field. Treating cleft lip and palate patients requires a comprehensive approach, including speech therapy, surgical procedures, and prosthodontic care, adapted to each patient’s unique needs.
The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics specializes in advanced orthodontic care through multidisciplinary collaboration. We have extensive experience treating cleft lip and palate, malocclusions related to congenital disorders and jaw deformities.
Head's Message

The mouth serves essential functions for daily life such as eating and speaking. Additionaly, the appearance of the mouth affects facial aesthetics, and improving it is important for a healthy social life.
At the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, we specialize in treating malocclusion, which many associate with braces. Our focus goes beyond aligning teeth. We also correct misalignments in the jawbones and facial structure, improving function of eating and speaking, and enhancing our patients' quality of life.
Unlike other conditions, malocclusion doesn't immediately cause pain or disability, but it can affect quality of life. Treatment methods vary based on the patient's specific condition.
In our department, we carefully selects the most appropriate and effective orthodontic treatments for each patient.
