Emergency Cases

For the time being, we are only accepting emergency cases, such as those arriving by ambulance.

We provide emergency treatment for severe inflammation of the mouth, such as trauma, fractures, and severe inflammation of the face, gums, teeth, lips, and tongue. Please call us first.

You are welcome to visit our hospital even if you do not have a referral letter.

About Referral Letter

Our hospital collaborates with local hospitals and clinics to provide highly specialized care for patients with severe illnesses or injuries. We accept patients referred to us from these local hospitals and clinics. Similarly, once a patient is in recovery and requires less specialized care, we refer them back to their local hospitals and clinics. This collaborative approach, through both referrals and reverse referrals, allows us to ensure patients receive the most appropriate level of care at the right time. This system also allows both our hospital and local hospitals and clinics to operate efficiently and effectively within our respective roles. Therefore, we kindly request that patients bring a referral letter from their doctor. A referral letter provides essential medical information, such as medical history, current medications, and treatment progress, enabling us to begin treatment more efficiently.

  • Please note that there may be a short wait for your first appointment, even if you have a reservation.
  • If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please contact the doctor in charge as soon as possible.
  • Please note that second opinions are not covered by insurance and are at your own expense, and the consultation fee is 5,500 yen per 30 minutes.

About Telephone Consultation

  • Our hospital offers telephone consultations for patients currently undergoing treatment.
  • If you or someone caring for you have a medical concern and consult with a doctor over the phone, a consultation fee will be charged on your next visit.

  • Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your appointment.
  • Please present your insurance card and other relevant documents at Counter No. 5 before your first appointment each month.
  • If there are any changes to your insurance information, name, or address, please notify Counter No. 5.
  • Please bring your appointment card with you to each appointment.
  • Your appointment card can be used permanently at The University of Osaka Dental Hospital. Please keep it safe as it is valid for all departments.
